# AccountPebble

The round initials disc on every thread row and rail entry — the P2 `account-pebble`. It tells four accounts apart inside one charcoal ramp: two tonal steps, alternating, with the account word beside it.

```html
<span class="postie-pebble postie-pebble--1">PN</span>
<span class="postie-pebble postie-pebble--2 postie-pebble--sm">W</span>
<span class="postie-pebble postie-pebble--1 postie-pebble--lg" aria-label="Studio">DH</span>
```

**When.** Every thread row (md), every rail account (sm), the message head and mobile rows (lg). Assign `tone` per account at connect time and keep it stable; the tone plus the account word ("Studio") is how a row is read, so the word is never dropped.

**Never.**
- Never a second hue. The brief bars a coloured avatar fill and the one signal is the primary action — a coloured pebble per account is the Gmail/Outlook multi-hue mark the owner walked away from.
- Never an oxblood pebble, even for "unread" — unread is the dot before the sender plus weight 700 (see MailList).
- Never provider logos inside the pebble (Google G, Microsoft squares) — brand marks of others do not enter the chrome.
- Never a photo unless the owner supplies real ones; initials are the system.
- Never more than two tones. If a fifth account needs telling apart, it gets the word, not a third step (a third step is a P2 decision).
